I have two gwps five and two and now wish they were both pups.

I miss the little boy and girl everyday after hunting season.
They get old fast enjoy and be good to your pup.

My season starts Sept 1 for doves..................
And then it is chasing grouse around Summit County in Colorado and waiting for the pheasants in October in Nebs...........

The storms bug him but not near as bad as the fireworks.
Maybe he is looking for a bird to fall when he heres the boom.
With the way I shoot he does alot more looking than fetching (tends to look at me with that pissed off coach look)

I can sit in a blind and shoot right next to my GWP and he is fine.
If he hears a firework he is in a different world.
He will be in the basement listening to some good old country tonight.

I would buy at the least a 9' or 9'6 7 weight rod for bay or surf fishing . I grew up back east and fished salt and the Susky in PA alot and used 8 and 9 weight rods for two reasons.
