Ezzy how to you live in IL with all of those crazy gun laws and rescues that don't want hunting dogs to go to hunting families! It ain't easy. The people who wouldn't place a dog if it was going to be hunted was in Iowa though. Right in the middle of pheasant country. Plus you couldn't keep it in a...

I was out hunting today in the area. I live about 20 minutes from JC. The roads were a bit slick, but tomorrow, when the snow melts you are looking at a lot of muddy roads. Obviously the paved roads are going to be fine. The gravel will be ok, dirt roads, well, you know. As far as the hunting is con...

What about getting some wire baskets? A bit more sturdy, and if you put enough straw in there, you wouldn't have to worry about the eggs falling out. (also if the wires were close enough together on the wire baskets...)

Have any of you guys had any success using a plastic (say tupperware or something similar) box mounted on the side of the wall as a nesting box? I've heard of guys using part of a bucket, but what do you think about a plastic tupperware box? If so, how big would you suggest?

I personally don't see a whole lot in temperment per se, but I do see a lot of the field dogs that have a lot more drive and energy. Again, though it goes back to the breeding. Unfortunately, there is a lot of difference in between the field dogs and the show dogs. I've seen a few show dogs that cou...

Hey guys, I finally got a coop together and would like to get some homers. From what I understand, feral pigeons may or may not home or fly back to the coop. I guess I'm needing some homers or something to get started with. Any suggestions? I'm in Kansas, in the Manhattan area. Thanks guys! John

Justin, This past weekend, a lady flushed a bird with gunners on both sides of her. She then proceeded to draw her blank gun, and stepped in front of the gunner to her right. I used to just let my dogs sit in the seat and they would be pretty good about sleeping during the long trips, or just hanging out during the short ones.
