Re: DT systems vs Dogtra Bird Launcher

I'm probably too late to the party, but I'll tell you that I've had terrible times with DT remotes. Going back through old emails, I've sent back remotes in 2012, April of 2016, July of 2016, (I think one in 2019) and recently 2021. The one in 2021, I sent a remote back and two receivers and got a 2...

Re: Pigeons cohabiting with game birds, same pen

As a pigeon fancier I'll tell you that you have it backwards. You're more likely to make your pigeons sick or kill them. No way I would put pigeons in with game birds especially quail. There's not much dirtier than a quail. I was thinking the same "bleep" thing. I don't want to introduce disease to...

Agree with Shags - Talk to the judges - and if you approach it in a way that you ask "how can I improve or help my dog improve" as opposed to a "why didn't you use my dog" point of view, the judges will be more likely to help you. At least that's been my experience anyways.

As someone who lives in Kansas, and hunted quite a bit of WIHA this year, I saw a lot of WIHA being pulled from the program, or leased out. What has worked for me...when the dog starts up, I give the crate a good shake and tell the dog KNOCK IT OFF! Repeat as necessary ( usually once or twice).
