Re: People who are allergic to dogs.....
they will have minimal effect on allergic hives but will help other symptoms including allergic asthma... Rather than have a detailed medical discussion about statements like this on a gundog forum site I'd rather just have the reader know treatments, including injections of small amounts of allerg...

People who are allergic to dogs.....
My daughter's fiance is allergic to dogs. They both absolutely love dogs. Her boyfriend can't leave my dogs alone when he's here....loves to play with them, etc. and then he has to take some allergy medication and go lay down for a while (crazy kid!!). My daughter really wants one of my Springers wh...

Re: Crossbreeds.....

Re: Springapeakes?
Well, the reason I ask is that a Chessie got in with my Springer and bred her (after I'd had 3 ties with my male Springer). So now when the pups are born I'll have to have the whole bunch DNA tested to determine who the sire is of each pup. Grrrrrr!!!!! I was just wondering if anyone happened to ha...

Crossbreeds.....
The other topic I posted got me to thinking about different crosses I've seen. I certainly don't think there is any need to purposely crossbreed these days with all of the breeds there are to choose from, but I've some very, very nice dogs that were the result of an accidental breeding. One of the n...

Re: Springapeakes?
Ha...ya, "Droppers". Speaking of "Droppers", short hair is dominant over long hair so if a Purebred Pointer is bred to Purebred Setter, all of the pups will have short hair I doubt things are so cut and dried. I have a good friend that got a pup from a litter of shortney's ( Shorthair/Brittany) tha...

Re: Springapeakes?
When you cross two breeds every pup may look different and also act different so there is no way that you can know how they would look or hunt. Ezzy Unless the cross has been done before...... Some crosses breed true, while others do not. By true I mean that the color, size, etc. of the offspring c...

Springapeakes?
Has anyone ever seen a cross between a Springer and a Chessie? I'm curious as to what they looked like, how they would be in the field, etc.
