Re: Female French brittany name
I spent some time with Randy and the puppies Saturday. I didn't even think to ask about naming the pup. Names that start with a "J" well that adds at least some direction. :D Probably will go visit again Randy seemed like a great guy to deal with, and even offered some of his time when training star...

Re: Easiest way to clean diamond plate?
When I was in highschool I worked for Truck-o-mat- in Walcott. We would spray diamond plate on semi's with "brightner" I think its hydrofluoric acid. It worked pretty well I think they will do small vehicles also at least they used to. You might be able to buy it and do it yourself. If I remember it...

Bond with the puppy. Snuggle and play and maybe even take a few naps together. Don't worry so much about time getting by you. The bond between the two of you could be the best tool for training come this spring.

My favorite is half a jalapeno inside the breast halves wrapped with peppered bacon on the grill. I also like the floured and blanched then put in dutch oven with carrots potatoes and onions and a can of cream of mushroom soup cooked real slow.

53 birds between our group of four today. It was a blast can't wait to wrap some bacon around them breasts and throw them on the grill. Yummmy.
Re: Doves?
I think if you were on private land and the dog had pointed the bird as you stated it would be fine to shoot them. Really it depends on what you plan on doing with your pup. If solely hunting with your dog why not. I know plenty of people who shoot ducks and geese with their pointers and some that d...

Dad had a redbone coon hound when I was born until I was about five. Then he had jack Russels he bred and a golden cocker retriever as a house pet/hunter. After the russels he got into blue ticked beagles that he bred and sold (and hunted). The golden died and was replaced by a mutt that showed up o...

Dog will be fine wouldn't worry about the lead. You may want to back off the retrieval of dead birds until the pup is older. I'm assuming the pup is not even a year old yet, better off to let them run and chase and find their own birds. Or if your buying quail only use good flyers and let them go. M...

Our local DNR I've known for a long time, even before he was the DNR and he will tell you take any group of hunters out and before they make it 50Yds he could find someone to write a ticket. It's pretty early but found two morales today. A guy I work with near Lost Nation Iowa found a good sack full.
Heads up to those who like to eat them they are out early this year. The two I found stuck out like a sore thumb there is barely any undergrowth in the woods right now.
