Pittsfield, IL, Pike county. I am a southern IL transplant, though. Grew up in Franklin county (Benton/Thompsonville) hunting quail. Still a few coveys around home. We should plan an IL training day and all get together sometime.

I have used the pour on ivomec on chickens to treat them for lice. it should work for pigeons, too. about 0.1 cc on the SKIN beneath the feathers on top between the wings.

sounds like mange and resolved after dog was put on ivomec..... my money is on mange. put the dog on the ivomec again and see what happens. i cant believe your vet put the dog on steroids without doing a skin scrape first- lucky the dog had any hair left at all.

if a dog has just missed a month or two then I dont require a test to sell them heartworm preventitive- that is ridiculous. and yes, i always either test or make sure the dog has been on preventitive before i treat for mange. i think you need to find a vet that will work with you a little.
