Went from Loyall to PMI Exclusive and like them both...I drop down to the PMI Red Flannel Prime in off season and the dogs do great on it as well. Thanks for the heads up on the Loyall. It was great food but PMI sponsors my son's kennel and so I support that effort...plus I buy 6 bags and get the 7t...

I agree with all the above but am more concerned that he looks that thin with 6 1/2 cups of food per day...that seems excessive to me. I would definitely worm him and then as stated get him on your regimen.

Simple...
I'm with my best buddy hunting or playing...tail is going like crazy,
I'm on point waiting for my buddy to shoot...tail is straight up,
I'm retrieving the bird my buddy just shot...who knows what the tail is doing,
I'm not happy with my buddy for locking me in the kennel...tail is resting!

I feed the Diamond 8+ to my older boys (11 & 12) and they do well on it. The Diamond has a pretty good dose of Glucosamine (=/>1200mg/kg) and Chondroitin (=/>400mg/kg). The 4health brand is a good alternative at 750/250 in supplements.

WIthout knowing age and the gun it is hard to suggest a load; however if he is young and like most youngster has either a youth pump or a single shot 20ga starter gun then nothing is going to help as those things kick like mules. Good luck with finding the loads and training a new young hunter.
