Thanks guys. I've superglue on cuts on my hands before, but these pad injuries are pretty extensive. Like the whole top layer of pad has been peeled back on the large pad, I get a cold chill just lookin at it, it's gotta freakin' hurt. I'd do it in a heartbeat. My oldest is 8.5yrs and had TPLO done both knees. She is a big runner and a very busy girl. She is back at 99.999 % and I keep her on supplements. She's back to hunting desert quail and chukker at warp speed. I've had 2 GSP blow out both ACLs. Bad news is once one side goes...

I like that old school, big boned, short back, blocky headded, long eared, hound looking GSPs. That pretty much describes the attributes of the v grief line. I found mine to be a close hunter, soft mouth, easy to train and with a passion for water.

FWIW, Ringworm Home Remedy
My male GSP came down with it after a trip to our Banfield Pet hospital for a check-up. I was just livid! Ringworm can be transmitted by direct contact with an infected animal, or contact with an item that is contaminated with the spores. The spore can be on infected grooming equipment or brushes, i...

Our female GSP got it right after she was spayed as a pup. Doc says it was stress related. Yeah, soft tissue don't xray well. But if the ACL is blown you can see it and definetly you can feel it. In my case, there is no doubt in my mind there is a direct correlation between early spay/neuter, underdeveloped joints/ligaments and bone developement. 3 definite ACL blown and a fourth possible...

Lots of stickers in the desert, but you should be ok. We always took our pups out without boots. Just keep an eye on what's in the area and where your pup is going. Just remember take it in baby steps and do not over do it. No matter how great the recovery may seem, take it slow.
