thanks. i was just hoping maybe somebody here was a member of a somewhat local club or had been at one of their events. I've been to a few, some good some not so good.

yeah but how much does shipping a pup from say Kansas to south Texas cost?? that may knock down my number of choices depending on the cost. I can't justify spending more than $800-900 on a pup or young started dog (a pipe dream i know).

i'm looking for some field trial and/or hunting retriever clubs in or around south/central texas area. any help from you guys would be great. It's been a while and it'd be nice to be able to meet up with some folks to help out a guy starting over from scratch again.
