Re: german long haired pointers
And the quoted is posting in a thread with no comments from moderators that aren't two years old. I've heard a lot of BS in my time, but that about takes the cake. \ What in the Bloody Heck, does the time have to do with anything? This was a recent thread, and it was threatened to be locked twice. ...

Re: Cold dogs
GSPS in America arent the DKs of Europe. Many are more like EPs with stub tails. They bear little resemblence to their German Counterparts, which are bigger, heavier and heavier coated dogs. The breed has changed here, some say for the better.... Far as cold goes, our GSPs of today, are not bred for...

Very Glad you reconsidered.
I think your choice was a good one.
Best to you and your dogs in the future.

Re: Force fetch ear pinch...
Dog is too young to FF DDS as a breed, are slow to mature. 6 months is silly. Seek pro help for you have issues you dont need with the dog and one who Knows the Breed. You should just let her do some fun field work (Point, chase), no pressure, food tracking and fun fetch work (No pressure) and light...

Re: puppy price
it is not a coincidence that people pay this kind of money from all over the country to buy pups from what is most times untitled parents. A Fool and his money. I wouldnt take one of his pups for free. He is a lazy breeder and does the breed a disservice. I will stick to German Hunt tests standards...

Re: GSP
ALL GSP"S go back to DK blood True, just as all cocker spaniels go back to Springer Spaniels. There were ONCE the same breed. Same as all American Staffordshire Terriers go back to Game- Bred Pit Bulls. See where Im going? A few generation,s without attention to working performance standards ad ind...

Re: The NOVA
I like mine.
My Browning BPS is much heavier, relatively speaking. Others (Remington, S&W Pump) are about the same.
My Benelli autoloader is the lightest shotgun I own..
You cant please everybody, and thats what this review sounds like....theyre great guns

Re: GSP
Go back to heavy German Lines, import lines and you will find what you want. The GSP is a fractured breed...Trials, Navhda, Nastra, Agility, Obedience, Shows For the balance, Id seek Nahvda lines, which tend to be more characteristic of the German DK dogs. Or search out the DK club. The GSPs ive own...

Re: german long haired pointers
I agree Fuzznut. But I do think that sharp dogs are more likely to be aggressive than gundogs who have not had to pass a sharpness test. No proof of it, and I think probably the Opposite is true. You want clarifications? Here they are. 1.Fighting Pits, Real Game Bred Pits, bred Multi generations to ...

Re: puppy price
A few years ago, studies done at the National Championships at the Ames plantation proved so embarassing that they have now buried them. They found that the Best, Big running Trial dogs in the country found about 5% of available birds on a Quail Planation with remarkable bird populations. Similar st...
