Webster loves these rings! they are called - JW Pet Invincible Chains Dog Toys & I bought them at petsmart. He loves to run with these in his mouth, fetch them and play tug of war.

Re: Tick on eyelid!

GSPVIZ, The ticks seem to migrate to the head. Now is especially a bad time for deer ticks here in the east. Good point about your wife being pregnant. Hopefully your dog has had a lymes shot. I remember hearing about a powder made with diatimatious earth that people use for fleas & ticks. I'll see ...

Congratulations, I can't wait to see some pics. Those will be 8 long weeks for your kids! We brought Webster home around Thanksgiving. I clearly remember taking him outside in the middle of the night with snow on the ground.
I think the name Rusty is cute - and apropriate.

GSPVIZ,
I'm sorry to say we do not hunt Webster. I grew up in Minnesota hunting pheasants but when we moved out east I never hunted agin, I don't even own a gun. Webster & I are starting agility.

Re: My Viz is always shivering!

it has gotten cold real fast here on the east. I know my gsp doesn't have any sign of his coat getting any thicker on his belly yet. Maybe it's because it went from being relatively warm to windy & cold within a matter of days.

I definitely use year round. The deer ticks are so prevalent here in PA I figure for a few bucks a month why take a chance. Plus if your dog comes in contact with another dog that has fleas then you got fleas.
