This is common in female dogs, especially those that are spayed. They lose muscle control and "leak" urine. There is a drug called PPA that is very effective in treating this.

From experience, if she has already partially torn her other CCL and you continue to let her run, she will fully tear the other. It is just a matter of time. I have no idea how well they work but there are braces made for dogs with CCL tears. Many people use them in place of surgery. I don't know of...

Midwest makes crates that are normal size, LxH, but the width is smaller. They are specifically designed for use in SUVs. I have them in my Pathfinder. Worth a try....my Ortho DVM did this free for me with my young dog's stifle injury. It's a simple procedure. Hopefully stem cell extraction will decrease in price as well.

Thinking along those lines Ezzy.....I guess I don't understand why anyone would add enzymes to a healthy dogs food. It doesn't make sense to me. The only dog I ever gave enzymes to was a GSD that had EPI. It was crucial for him to be supplemented since he failed to produce his own digestive enzymes....

My male GSP didn't start eating well until he was around 3 years old. Even still, on days he doesn't get enough exercise, or it's too warm, etc, he won't eat that much. I do rabies every 3 yrs- required by NYS law. I do the Distemper series (basic series, no extra Lepto, bordetella, lymes, etc) every 3 yrs on my young dog and will probably stop giving them once he is older. I only do rabies on my 13 yr old dog.

Mine was the same way. He is almost 4 and just started eating consistently. I too made the mistake of trying to "jazz up" the meal. Finally I put the food down for 15 mins. If he ate, good- if not, oh well.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection and a trip to the vet. Nothing you can give her at home now unless you have a stash of antibiotics and know what to use and how to dose....

I have my 13.5 yr old Hound cross on Annamaet Salcha (grain free 30/16). She looks amazing and has a ton of energy. I had my grandparents 17.5 yr old mutt on senior but switched her back to adult a few months ago because she lost too much weight.
