Water...for dog and for you...use a bottle, no bowl would be needed for dog or for you. EMT gel, nylon stocking segment, eye wash.....health or older age might indicate something additional. I must admit that, on one level, the sand pit with a fire hydrant is funny. :D I had one setter that loved to lay in water to cool off....I used a small horse trough in his larger fenced area and filled and dumped after each use. Not sure that it helped but Rock enjoyed it. W/o being emptied tho.......

My .02 on CWD, its always been there, to one degree or another. Feeders are bad for transmission, mineral licks can't help, but the worst culprit seems to be deer farms. Could be, not sure tho.....one does wonder. Certainly Blue Tongue and other such seasonal and cyclic issues have long been around...

My initial thought is that WI’s reaction was overblown, due to the strength of the ruffed grouse’s population in that state and so, the ability of the bird to absorb kicks and stabs. Depends upon dogs, conditions, location and personal preference as to toting water....I prefer bottled water, for dogs and myself.
I have found that some bottled water caps are less dog friendly and more a nuisance than others. Could be just me so, Fit & Try.

Not first line protective but I have found Cowboy Magic to be swell at helping with burr removal in long-haired dogs.
For hard burrs, pliers can mash them first and aid in removal, especially with a good mat knife.

I removed the rear seat bottoms in the 4-door Tacoma, along with ripping out those useless plastic bins...covered the exposed metal with carpet. I had $1400 in my current dog before I even saw him. He injured his eye and we spent yesterday morning driving 3 hours round trip to Blue Pearl ER to the tune of $300 plus $55 in gas. Have a follow up appointment on Friday so more $. Hopefully it heals fully and swiftly..... Good luck with the pup’...

“Non-tox” shot can be a deal-ender for some re counter cost or barrel issues. Well, blaze orange can make sense in crowed conditions, it can be the law and it can be considerate of hunting partners but there are no ethical breaks if one chooses to not wear it.
