I recently got a GSP out of rescue. Like the way the dog hunts....besides that he is a freaking idiot. I was told he didn't have to be kenneled. I have him in a small dog pen...say...30 x 20. He has crewed the whole fence in half..digging to china...just destroying everything...my wife is about to k...

Ok...I know...crazy...But...I am new to this game. Have a 14 month old GSP that was a rescue dog. He is a great dog in the field..points well and works fine. But points ever field mouse in the dang world. I mean flat out points. I can't tell it is a mouse until he pounces as I walk up to flush... Id...

Have been working my 14 month old GSP on a check cord and he works well. Take the cord off, and off he goes..running like a crazy freak chasing everything with no control. I haven't exposed him to a shock collar. Is this the key? Also, what about taking his jewels...will this settle him down? I have...
