Re: us open pheasant trials?
It looks to me like these folks are really enjoying thier dogs and the competition in thier game. In my opinion thats all that matters. Not everyone can afford or even wants to be a top tier hb AA field trialer. Some people just want to a good hunting companion and thats fine. I don't understand why...

Humping help!!!!!!!
I have a 1.5yr old male Ep that is kenneled with our 4month old male pit bull puppy. The two of them are best friends(maybe too good of friends!!) they play and wrestle all day. Lately the pointer has been mounting and humping the puppy. It wasn't very often but now it's constant and the worst part ...

Re: Bunch of Questions
I had my yellow lab ducking at 6months old on some very swift and cold rivers in Northern NM. I worked her obedience starting at 6weeks old (no corrections just taking her on walks so she learned about the lead, teaching her the mechanics of sit, and not to pull on the lead) I used the RW methods set...

Re: comparing berettas?
I own several citoris (lightening and upland special 12ga.) and owned one 686 white onyx. The brownings are nice sturdy guns and can be found quite a bit cheaper than the berettas. Although the beretta I owned was light, fast, accurate, well made, and had a lower profile reciever than the brownings;...

Re: why did you chose your breed of dog?
I grew up in Northern NM and got into duck hunting as a freshmen in HS. I got tired of wading in the icy river after every duck me or my buddy shot so I decided to buy a dog. One of my football coaches had a couple AKC Labs he was going to breed so I saved and saved and finally was able to buy my fi...

Thanks for the responses, I think I'm going to have to get some launchers and lose the pgieon pole and teathered birds. Any more suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Flagging issue
Thanks for the suggestion Brenda, I talked to the previous owner and he said that he hadn't been on pigeons for 4 or 5 months. He also said that it was something that he has done (flagged) planted birds since he was a pup. He said he never really did it on wild birds. I am losing losing hope for him...

Re: Flagging issue
Ok here it is I'm not sure what to do. I have a 1.5 yr old EP that I recently bought. I have only had the dog for a couple months, I was told he was force broke to retrieve, whistle trained, steady to wing , and had been used as a guide dog on preserve hunts. I bought the dog and had him shipped to ...
