Re: Pro Plan
This is an Interesting site - http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ Of course we want to feed our dogs the best food we can, but the reality is we feed our dogs the best food we can afford. You do realize that the link you gave is to a rating by a dog food company. Guess whose food came out the best. We ...

I'm a new trainer too so I understand you want all from your dog. That being said I don't remember how old or how long you have been working with him but I believe you need to let up on him some and let him point. Make it fun and not so much pressure to get a "trained and steady" dog. I know it is h...

Nice looking pup. He is the same age as my Weim, yes they can be a bit hardheaded at this age. You live not too far North of where the Mid-Ohio NAVHDA trains. http://www.midohionavhda.com/ We don't have training again until March but they are a great group and have helped me alot training my first g...

We have not had much luck with traps. So we have just started waiting until they roost at night, shine a light and net them. Works pretty well. Hope you have better luck. Good net work though.

Welcome Brad, I too am new to Hunting birds and bird dogs. So it is nice to see someone who is new too. I am in Portsmouth. That is a little bit away from where you are. You will have to post some pics of your girl when you get her. Have fun they are a handful but a good handful.

Re: Dog Food
I feed Tast of the Wild. Gunner likes it and does well on it. Shiny coat and no GI issues. Have fed this brand to my dogs for a while now including my Great Pyrenee, who had food issues.

Re: Hello from Ohio, from Gunner and myself
Good morning, Colin, that sounds quite wonderful. Gunner has not yet been gun exposed other than at a pretty fair distance. I would love to get over that way but I'll be in NC that weekend visiting my DTR and SIL. Maybe next time. Thanks again Pam, I have already gathered that. I also have Triathlon...

Re: Hello from Ohio, from Gunner and myself
I live outside Urbana, work in Dublin. Seems there were two NAVHDA groups last I checked, the one in Delaware and another down towards Athens. I have chatted a couple times with foloks from the Delaware group over the years but I am not a member. I know where that is, I have done some Triathlons ov...

Hello Colin,
Where in West Central Ohio are you? I am going to be going to the Training Day in April at the Mid-Ohio NAVHDA. Just wondering if you know the group or are a part of? Love to meet people in the general area. Have a nice and soggy weekend.

I have a Weim. I love him for his quickness, intelligence and his overall lovability. Since he is my first bird dog and also my companion dog it seems a good fit.
