Actually, that's pretty typical for a hound. Some of them tend to be a tad peculiar when it comes to "footing" and where their feet are going to land, which includes jumping up into cars/trucks. Hounds are whimsical creatures.

I had long suspected this as I watched the GSPs we had beginning in the 1960s evolving into something quite different these days. My last GSP passed 10 years ago. Sadly, I'll never have another because I just don't like what the breed has become. But, de gustibus non disputandum est, I suppose, and ...

Do you think there are ever any fights?? Good question. The answer is yes, but not as many fights as you'd think cuz the hounds are generally carefully culled to get rid of fighters. Most of the fights are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. By the very nature of the fact that they live and ...

Hello again, I posted last week re a dog with a possible medical issue with foxtail grass. You guys were great in responding, for which I thank you. some kind of grass travelling through dog"s body?

Sorry about the really vague subject line, but I don't know how else to explain it. John Bradshaw's recent book "Dog Sense" is an interesting read. SO tired of hearing people stating how important it is to be "Alpha," although I will posit that's more for the individual's self-esteem (or lack thereof) than the dog's benefit.
