Re: Crate Fans
Those fans don't do much at all to help, they are not strong enough to produce much air and the batteries go dead very quick. I use some fans at agility trials and the best ones I have found are Ryobi fans. I have the older style but I assume the new style would work the same. They can be on the pri...

I have never had any negative side effects from any of the glucosamine supplements I have used. +1 on the Thundershirt. I have one for my GSD for thunderstorms and some general anxiety in certain situations. It works great! Believe it or not it also helps her with car sickness. I would, like stated above, also try to retrain the crate in a positive manner to help make it a good place.

It sorta depends on what you feed. I feed my guys chicken backs (or necks) and I pay $11-14/40lb. box. Re: Panosteitis - Growing Pains
It's very common in certain breeds, for example German Shepherds, but any dog can get it. Some people raise puppies from the start on adult food early on to help prevent it because it has lower protein than puppy food. Supposedly it makes the pup grow slower so they don't get Pano, but I've still se...

I don't brush my dog's teeth. I just give an occasional raw meaty beef bone, like a knuckle bone for example. I get them from the butcher for fairly cheap. I'm glad you took him in and they got the toy removed. I've been a vet tech for 11 years, so I don't get worried as quickly as some and would have waited until the vomiting started. I wish him a speedy recovery!

You want to watch for vomiting and lots of it. They can't hold down food and a lot of times water either when they have an obstruction. If vomiting starts, I would get to a vet for an x-ray, other that that, if you don't notice any problems, then I personally wouldn't worry too much.

They typically work really well, but you have to find a good one. A DVM/Chiropractor is the best option, you shouldn't use a human chiropractor that does work on dogs.
