I think that cz are ok. But in that price range with a little patience you can find a little higher quality gun. Like some others have mentioned. Entry level Beretta or browning or Skb would be where I would look first personally. Any of those will literally last the rest of your life....

I have a LLBean Technical Upland Vest Pack. I like it. I don't carry a ton of stuff, But pack a lot of water. I like the dual water bottles for the dogs and a bladder for myself. Room for some snacks, bird bag is good. Comfy to wear, Probably the one knock is the shell holder pockets aren't very big...

I know that a lot of people are kinda one breed people or they have a retriever and pointer....But I am a little different, I like them all so I like having variety in the house. If possible, practicing the test with multiple people and dogs helps a lot, just like the mock test you went to. Congrats and good luck. I would point out that if your going to be involved at all in the German Testing system then I would concentrate more on obedience and tracking, retrieving work as that is what the system puts the most emphasis on. NAVDHA groups are often times great.... Have fun and good luck.

I have a stoeger 12 gauge o/u. owned it for probably 5yrs now....probably 10K rounds or so through it. Had some problems not firing top barrel once, gunsmith fixed her up pretty easily, he polished a bit of the metal to metal work also. The coat looks short because its a shorthair......Almost all of the FT's in our neck of the woods are all breed trials put on by individual clubs.
