For the past two weeks or so, my 1 year old female GSP has began peeing her crate during the day while my wife and I are gone. I think what Ryman means is that all the species that you would hunt (traditionally anyway) are closed to hunting during the 2 week rifle deer season here in PA. It is unlawful to hunt deer with dogs in PA and dogs caught chasing deer can be killed. I here there is a bill in the state house which wo...

I do, I've personally seen bigger deer since the antler restrictions were put in place. Others argue that the deer are larger racked, but that the numbers have diminished so much its not worth hunting them. I'd imagine many of these are the people who hunt 50 yards from the road and go out once a ye...

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'm not disputing the fact I violated the lease by keeping the chukars / quail on the deck, I just believe that the landlord is going to an extreme measure to "sanitize" the deck. He itemized the cost of the deck repairs as approximately $100 dollars to rent the po...

So my wife and I just received a letter from our previous landlord that because I violated the lease by keeping two quail or chukars in a small pigeon trap on our deck, that he is using our security deposit to rent a power washer and then reseal the deck for sanitation reasons. Proudag, Does the pup spend anytime in front of either your AC or heater vent? Mine loves the heat and gets dried out in the winter time and has some dandruff. I just use baby wash when bathing my pup, but for what its worth, I think we have bathed her maybe 4-5 times since we brought her home. -John

I ended up northwest of sylvan grove (Lucas actually) on a few WIHA and didn't move any birds, it was a long ride from Joplin Mo and I didn't get to hunt for as long as I'd have liked. Is there a reason you don't want the wire style crates? If I lay the rear seats down, in my Ford Escape, I can fit 2 definitely and I'm fairly certain a third would fit as well.....It'd be cheaper to replace crates than a vehicle. Does Toyota make anything smaller than the Forerunner?

Point-Count surveys are used to measure local densities and population trends in communities for a vast number of birds.
