i shoot a Winchester model 1897 12 gauge 30 inch full for all upland birds i just try to let them get out there a ways if i'm correct i think the production date is 1954 but that might be my model 12 not really sure on that i have my 870 for the dreary rainy days

the first 2 weekends i went hunting i didnt see anything but one hen no quail till this weekend after the rain i probably saw fri through sun 25 birds and went home with my limit sun and one sat still havent seen a single covey of quail though talked to one guy he saw a covey opening weekend sw ia s...

i agree with ruff for the first to season i let my setter loose just let him find bird and flush them building up his contact with birds every once in awhile i would get a point and would praise him this is all without and whoa training or anything this year we got through his training went out yest...
