Cut Toe?
I have attached a pic of on of my EP's rear paws. On the outside foot you can see what appears as though it is a blood blister, that black dot you see is scabbing I believe. It has been there for a bit, problem being when we run the field it opens up and creates a mess. Anyone ever seen something li...

Is the circulator pump for that zone stuck on? In my experience circulator pumps are much more reliable than zone valves so I'm surprised you're having an issue. If you leave the emergency switch off does it cool down? If the circulator pump is constantly running, will it shut off if you disconnect ...

FWIW - I have had big running pointers all my life and I ain't lost one permanently...yet. I was taught to cut the dog loose and follow it. if it did not come back around in ten minutes or so, it was on point somewhere, so you went and found it. Pointers are bred to run, and run big, without lookin...

I wouldn't take him out until you're pretty sure it won't be bleeding from him running. I would invest in some quick stop powder though. I've found that if the nails get to be too long is when they are more likely to break.

I carry the basic camo first aid kit you see on the dog sites, but added some EMT gel to it. I figure the majority of things can be taken care of with basic bandages and eye wash. Not sure how to carry out the dog with all the equipment.

So I'm thinking about ditching the grandpa cap and going with a dog box. I'm not sure which dog box, or options, I would want and I'm sure many of you have gone through this. I like the crossover boxes, but I'm going to need a regular tool box to carry around some other stuff, so that rules them out...
