I think you would be surprised at how well they can recover (given the right conditions). I have hunted OK/KS for a number of years. Wouldn't mind seeing the season shortened a bit for at least a year. With that being said, let's all pray for a good season weather wise out in your neck of the woods....

According to my students, I torture young people for a living during the week. My official job description or title however is "High School Math Teacher".

Before that I was an engineer who ran manufacturing companies. I left that, took a few years off, and now I teach. I enjoy it and love the hours.

Cody m on this board lives down there you might try and pm him. I'm about 150 miles north if there. They don't have the pheasants that I do. Our season is only three days long and its already passed. NM quail hunting is down with the drought but I'm still locating birds in larger coveys but smaller...

I do appreciate the advice. Yes I have done the checkcord training or so I think and he does well. Take him off the checkcord and he comes most of the time, unless he is distractred/doesn't want to/forgets? I'm not sure.
