Jones dog trailers, what is your experience?
I'm considering buying a dog trailer and have heard of certain problems, but what about the top of the line trailers like the Jones models?
Any experiences good or bad? Going to travel with 6 dogs for up to two months. Thanks for any info.

Re: What collars to get with the Alpha 100
I have two TT15s which I bought first when I bought my Alpha. Then I got a puppy so I bought a couple of Minis so I could track the puppy's movements while he was still small. Since then I have used only the Minis on 60lb GWPs. Never ran out of battery once using them close to daily for over 2 year...

Re: Dogs and barbed wire.
Barbed wire fences are common where I live and hunt. My puppies learn to duck under the bottom wire at an early age and that is our preferred method of negotiating fences. Never over the top. My kennels are chain link set on concrete with a roof over the top, so digging is impossible and my dogs ar...

My dogs usually learn to go under it. I would never want them jumping it. A lot of the places I hunt that has it, they have changed out the bottom barbed wire with a wire with no barbs, I think for the antelope to go under. If my dogs are at the fence the same time I am I put the bottom wire to the ...

Was the pup retrieving the pigeon after he caught it? I would mix it up and use other species of birds, preferably wild ones. I would also back off on shooting if you believe it is causing the pup to pause. Many times when gun conditioning a dog won't show any response to the gun until in the next, ...

I think one of the most critical competencies for a dog trainer is being able to assess behavior. It is a window to perspective in humans and animals. If we understand perspective we have a basis to communicate, the best way to shape behavior is to communicate in a manner most efficient and germane...
