I appreciate the help. As it turns out most of the spots were faded the next morning, and all were completely gone by day 2. I'm guessing chigger bites...

He never seemed bothered by them.

My GSP was outside most of the day today laying around in the grass. Tonight we noticed some red rings/spots on his belly. I'm wondering if it could be ringworm... Any ideas? Ray, Thanks for the honest and helpful replies. I'm taking Hank out again tomorrow to a nearby state park where they release pheasants. I'll see how he does....after reading this thread I'm kind of hoping he leaves my sight. I think I'll just keep my mouth shut the whole time and see what happens......
