So why would you not tip the trainer if they are the owner? heck, they gotta pay the bills!Wyndancer wrote:Is the trainer employed by another? Or working on his own?
If he/she is an employee, and you feel a tip is warranted, by all means slip him/her a few bucks. But if the trainer is the owner...screw that.

Re: AKC and handicapped handlers
The mounted handler must ride behind the walking handler and maintain his horse at the pace of the walking handler. That requirement is really easy to do and I did it 2 weeks ago under the watchful eyes of AKC representative Gary Sadler. The same is required of the ATV handler. It just requires goo...

I usually start running them from ATV around 7 mo. Training is only when they are reliable on birds from foot after breaking process, then start working from ATV at bigger distances.

Like I said, a minimum of 9 days (probably would have taken longer) of a dog in a crate gotten in and out numerous times is not what I want. 1/2 a day on a plane seems much easier on the dog. These people are not getting the dog out and snapping a lead on them, just lift the crate in and out..

I like a choke chain, but has to be used efficently. You have to use it behind the ears with sharp snaps to get the dogs attn, not just let a dog pull against it...Rest of the time it should be lax until the dog starts to loose concentration. Sharp snap, then praise for being in the right place..

So why does the dog need a bird in their mouth? Are you killing every bird he points? Will he watch a bird fly off?
