Re: New member and new Brittany owner.
Hi! I'm kinda in the same situation as you, except I own a Chihuahua mix and a Breton. ;) I do however, compete in obedience, rally, and agility with my Breton. :) And I used to horse back ride, but had to quit for a while due to tearing my ACL a year ago! I have owned three other Britts in the past...

Re: American Brittany/French Brittany breeders?
Alright!!
LIberty's registered in AKC as a Canine Partner, since I have no want to show her in AKC confirmation (apparently they dislike working lines...).
But that's okay, we have agility and obedience, and rally there.

Re: What Do You Feed?
Yeah, it's a pain when we're at agility training. All the people with the Border Collies stop every ten minutes, and she's just sitting there, rearing to go some more. They think she's on a sports drink (which I actually saw at Cabela's today...O.O). She just likes to keep going though, haven't figu...

Re: What Do You Feed?
Holy crap :O
Liberty eats about...half that a day.
But with Addiction you're supposed to feed them like nothing.
I feed her more then what the nutritionist said, just because she looked like she was starving.
And she's fine, not gaining weight or anything.

Re: American Brittany/French Brittany breeders?
That is true, lol.
It's just nice to know that the dog should be fit for agility (such as buying a working dog from show only lines, ect.).
But I will look around.
Beautiful Brittany you have there, real cutie!

Re: What Do You Feed?
I've been doing research for a while, and with the preperation timing and stuff, it seems as if partial raw would be better (just because it's hard walking her three miles in the morning as it is with just dry food). I like Addiction, and yeah, it's more then that where we get her food from (about 8...

Re: American Brittany/French Brittany breeders?
I am not breeding Liberty; she was just my dog that my stepdad purchased for hunting but he never used her, and then I took her and I've decided to use her for hunting. I may or may not stud out the male, or female if I get one. It depends how they turn out and such. I do just want to look at breede...

I was just wondering what everybody fed their dogs?
Liberty eats Addiction (Viva La Venison) right now; but she will be switching to raw soon.

American Brittany/French Brittany breeders?
I'm not looking into getting a puppy for another year or so, but I want to be able to talk to my breeder/figure out if they will be a good match for me. We got Liberty (my 5 year old French brittany, who I ADORE) from a one time breeding, her mother was from Plum Creek and her father was a French im...

Re: Begginer Hunter?
I am hoping to get a male late next year or early 2012, unless I convince my parents other wise.
What breeder are you looking at?
I really want a Plum Creek dog, especially from Tattoo lol, but if I find the perfect pup, it's coming home XD

I am contacting her breeder right now (he said I could take her out any time with him if I would like).
She is a very excited dog, it's like a little kid at a birthday party.

Starting to work with a mature dog?

She is currently five years of age. She already points to everything and anything that crosses her pas...

Two year olds are a pain in the butt, I mean, Libby went from a pet dog into a bucking bronco

Hello from Pennsylvania!
Hello all, My name is Kelsey and I currently own one dog, a five year old Epagneul Breton (French Brittany Spaniel) named Liberty, though her registered name is Althaea De Les Chasseur. She is the granddaughter of Cliathan Archer (an imported stud who lived his life at Plum Creek Kennels). I do not ...
