I see you're in Tucson. If you haven't checked them out you should look into Sublime K9. JJ Belcher and Nicole Kelly are the trainers. Great folks and they do Snake avoidance. Their snakes are true venomoids and they are great trainers.

Compatible methods
I've been reading reviews on the different books and I think I've decided to go with "Training with Mo" Are there any DVD's that are compatible with his methods of training. I understand the no no of switching methods so I'd like to avoid that.

I'm new to hunting dogs but not new to scent work with dogs. How far they can smell has a lot of variables, wind speed, humidity, gorund cover, terrain etc all factor in to how the scent cone travels.
