I have seen two replies stating that a Mal has a jh title, and one who competed in HRC events. Where were these events? I thought the hunt tests and such were pretty specific that the dog had to be a known hunting breed type in order to compete...JUst curious on this point. As to the second point, a...

K Im not sure what the law is up there regarding using blood trailing dogs(if that was even something that interested you). Im in Texas and we have good use for blood trailers here.

Where are you located? Is the Cocker from hunting lines? The reason I ask is if they turn out having strong drive, and they have some hunting lines in there then you have a better shot at training them to hunt for you. You might try them on some blood trailing(for wounded deer), if you are a deer hu...

NAVHDA is open to pointing breeds only. The Labrador Retriever is not classified as a pointing breed by any of the major registries.
