GREAT NEWS!!
Popple showed up about 2 weeks later, about 6 miles from the crash site at a house. Skinny, and beat up but alive. He is not the same dog now however, he doesn't want to leave the house. Hopefully in time he will mentally heal as well.

Re: Help! Lost Gordon setter near Sterling CO
Unfortunately popple is still missing. Going on 4 days now . My fear is the crash caused internal injuries and after the pups adrenaline wore off the injuries and exposure, and the coyotes, took its toll. Let's hope not.

Help! Lost Gordon setter near Sterling CO
I am posting for my friend, see below!! Need some help from anyone near Sterling, Colorado. A very good buddy of mine was on his way out there when the front tire blew on his F350, causing the truck to head into the median and roll. The family went to the hospital, and believes they will be okay. Ho...

I think I was using medium. first year I used wide and like stated it looked too far away even close shots. I think this gives a pretty good perspective without having a chance to miss any action. I have found different level of "affection" with GSP's and V's and now what I have is a French Brit. By and far the french brit is the most loving, affectionate of the bunch. Depends on what you want. some people really like a love machine, others not so much. Every french brit that I have run into ...

I have hunted two seasons with the go pro and love it! Here is a little video of a two day woodcock hunt to give you a flavor. You learn how to put the sun at your back (as you will notice I move into position with that in mind). It helps capture the action. make sure to adjust the settings to watch...

I bought one but found it much easier to just go out and net them at night. I have netted over 100 sine beginning of feb. many I have caught multiple times. Now I use the trap as a holding pen till I use the birds.
Never even tried trapping after the first night netting.

I bought the gopro 2 right before the gopro 3 came out. There were significant improvements from the 1 up to the 2, but from what I have heard the 3 isn't a big jump. I am VERY happy with the 2, and for the money, I would go with it, but do your research and compare the 2 and 3 to see if its worth i...

I got a go pro shortly after the grouse and woodcock season opened here in WI to capture my pups first year. Re: GoPro Hunting Videos
Thought of another tip. To capture the action it's best to be recording all the time. However, to speed up editing, after an event happens like a point, shot, retrieve, I will give a thumbs up in front of the camera and then turn it off, then back on again when ready to begin recording. If I want to...

I recorded most of our grouse and woodcock season with a gopro 2. One suggestion, I would get an external mic. After a season of video it's obvious the external mic is the way to go. Better sound quality and you don't have the loud bang when twigs hit the camera cover. I like the camera on the head ...
