Re: Suggestions on new Auto Loader Purchase?
Well I guess I was miss read, I actually wanted to know how it was as for cleaning? The reason being I have never owned a gas operated semi, but a friend of mine did and when we went to the sporting clays course he would be done after about 150 rounds and it had to be taken down and cleaned up or it...

Re: Best 20 g. waterfowl load
I don't know if recoil plays into your equation and aparently weight does not (since you said you are hunting from a blind) but it has been my finding that a 3" 20 kicks way more than a 3" 12. I know that when one is hunting, one usually will not shoot so many times that recoil becomes an issue, but...

Re: Boykin or American Water Spanial
Thanks, I apreciate all first hand experiences. I have been leaning toward the AWS however there seems to be slight issues with temperment toward outsiders (from what I have read) coming into the house. This is a two edge sword and nearly everyone agrees that interaction with people early is of the ...

Re: new guy
Anytime we can help get an animal out of a bad situation it is a rescue, and I applaud all that do this type of work. As for our new arrival, she is really coming on strong from where she was. She is becoming very responsive to the comand "here" and loves the fetch drills. We are keeping it very sho...

Boykin or American Water Spanial
I had a Lab for many years and loved him dearly. After his passing I took a few years off. This past season I made it out with a friend and got the bug again, so now I am in the market for another waterdog. I am seriously considering going with a smaller dog for the retrieving duties. I think that I...

Re: Suggestions on new Auto Loader Purchase?
I love my Benellis and would highly suggest looking for a good used one. The ease of operation ie: take down is unmatced . This really comes into play for duck hunters. The only negative I have on the superblack eagle is in the upland woods they tend to collect debris in the chamber causing the occa...

Re: teaching here
exactly!! In the short time we have had her she shows that she can still learn quickly and I am sure it will all come together. If not she still has a warm bed to sleep in.
Thanks, Les
Thanks, Les

Hey all I am from SE Ohio, I was once and avid grouse hunter, however since the numbers are so low I do not bother them any more. I mostly do put and take stuff for upland birds. I still love to watch a dog work its magic and this is about the only game in my town. I am also a waterfowler (currently...

Hey all, I am new to this and I am looking for some insight. I have trained 4 britts to hunt for upland birds from the puppy stage. I have had fairly good results in training my dogs after to come, change directions and to just keep an eye on me while in the field. I think good results came through ...
