Sometimes it is the picture. I have pictures of dogs with there eyes bugging out but it is not the greatest angle. Same point different angle and the picture looks great but you really don't notice the eyes. Same thing with showing the intensity of the body, sometimes it comes out in the picture and...

Re: Journal Your Dove Hunts.

For some reason I never take pictures on dove hunts. Monday the opener, my son, son in law and myself got 39. We lost our limit so we stopped. We hunted one spot next to rice fields that are not drained. For whatever reason it is very difficult for dogs to find birds in or next wet rice field, they ...

this is all very interesting, how can there be so many interpretations of the AKC rule book. I have now had my first two dog dogs go through puppy trials and Derbys, all AKC. when buying your lewis boots don't just measure the front foot and buy all four same size. I ended up having to buy more to fit the back feet of one of mine. She has two different sizes. I found out this is not uncommon.

I'm kind of leaning toward the 20 oz plastic bottle idea. That way I can go "too heavy" by adding water for the first flight and adjust accordingly rather than "Gee, that didn't work." as I watch the doomed pigeon fly off into the sunset. i will have to look at the size of the bottle but i am sure ...

I use a small plastic pepsi bottle in lieu of card. you can add weight to it by simply putting some water in it. if I want them to fly pretty far maybe no water at all or if I want them to only go a very short distance then half a bottle of water. bottles are all different sizes and pigeons have dif...

Very few breedings of AA dogs produce pups that will run in AA events. Hence the reason breeders are often selling trained dogs later because they cannot get that true AA dog. However most of the pups will have drive to find birds. That is not to say that breedings other than AA or field trial breed...
