Re: Benelli Super Vinci - Utter disappointment

I grew up with a SxS with double triggers and a tang safety. oh how I love a double trigger. nothing like having two different chokes at hand when you need them. I bought a moss. 935 just because of the tang safety. I personally hate pump shotguns. the rattleing of the pump and the possibility of sh...

Re: Brittany people

my four year old britt Sue was very hyper when we got her two years ago. We tried not to give her too much attention till she was calm. now shes so calm she's a lap dog most of the time or layin on the couch next to me. It's all how you raise them.

Re: Suggestions for a first shotgun?

A nice stoeger uplander SxS is one $325. I think only $500 for both 12 and 20 barrels and one reciever. well worth the money. they take regular win, moss, chokes. IMO I hate pumps. the slides usually rattle and if you are not very practiced with them it is sooooo easy to short stroke it and get a sto...

Re: Shot gun choice

I own a mossberg 935. I would not bet my life on it(dirty squad car settings). sure her at my house I might grab it in an emergency, probably not. The forearme retainer(a 1" piece of plastic around the mag tube) is prone to break. Also the 935 is an overbored to 10ga barrel. I have read numerous art...

Re: Guns Online?

I have bought three guns from Gunbroker. a Savage 110, mossberg 935, and a TC omega. Also a Nikon monarch rifle scope. It is great as long as you do your home work. Look at the seller see how they are rated. I looked around on the site and always get one cheaper than myfriend who is a FFl dealer say...

Re: Suggestions for a first shotgun?

I love SxS shotguns myself. Up here in Vermont their tradition. A perfectly good stoeger uplander in either 12 or 20 or eben the kit with both barrels is qreat. I love the veratility of having two different chokes. I'll even carry a couple different ones in my pocket to match the environment

Re: Suggestions on new Auto Loader Purchase?

I personally have a mosber 935 in 12ga. shoots great when you don't break the forend retainer.which they do often. cheap little piece of plastic, but without it other things will break. if you get a good one it'll last years. others only weeks. if you are going to stay under $1000 and not shooting 3...

Re: Best 20 g. waterfowl load

I've hunted with my 3" 20 for years. not ducks but turkey, grouse, and deer. It's all about what patterns in your gun well. There is an obvious loss in pellet count so you have to be more picky with what shots you take, but shouldn't we all  yes a 3" 20 kicks, but only if your gun is lighter t...

I have friends that have used the upsided down coffee cup in the bowl method. they have had success with it. Of couse there have been plenty of other very fine ideas mentioned here. Any of which would work I'm sure.

Re: Steady to wing and shot with a trained retrieve

My ultimate dream is to have my britt "Steady to wing and shot". Too many times while we were hunting she would bump a second bird chasing the first one I shot. Because I never miss.............
