Re: Shadow Oak Bo offsping

You'll probably get a good pup out of him. Just don't look for a wonder dog. After all, he is just a dog that took and maintained his training well. I've sat in the saddle and seen Bo in workouts and trials. To say 'he is just a dog that took and maintained his training' is a great disservice. No a...

In my personal opinion, those bloodlines are all dead as none of those folks are 'actively' breeding and any description of those lines would be over generalizations at best. Pups first wild bird (chukar) season over what's next?

I think it depends on your end goal and patience level. If all you want is a hunt able dog, I'd skip the pigeon work and wait til next season and keep hunting him and killing birds he does good work on. Were you able to kill any of the birds he flash pointed? If you end goal is a dog that's steady t...

Von Zeppelin pretty much mentioned the major reasons. The one dog this morning was picked after two non productives, while it is not a written rule, it is common practice to pick up after the second non productive (definitely in an hour stake, but more leeway in an endurance stake), especially since...

The fact is that majority of brit trials are closed breed trials, so the question is would there be as many FC or DCs if their trials were open to all breeds. Just makes comparisons difficult. Big difference between a point and a find.

I think 100 would be tight unless it was a narrow linear course. I despise having to water a dog at the end of...

A dog learns to go with you and pay attention to you on the end of a rope. Then start dropping the rope and then start letting them loose, keep them close and make them handle.
