GSP pup growling when with wing

I got my pheasant wings I ordered in the mail today. I introduced the pup(10 weeks old) to one and after a couple minutes of being unsure of it and barking at it he finally picked it up. I got it back from him and hid him to it. here is where the problem started. when I attempted to get the wing fro...

Re: Dog crying in crate

Remember to make the crate a fun place. You've already let him win on the "dog in the bed" deal - so no further advice needed for that issue. What I would do though, is make sure to absolutely crate him sometimes when you're in the house with him. So he doesn't think crate=lonely, nobody home. Give...

Re: Dog crying in crate

Dogs are a pack animal. You are the one thing that pup wants 99 percent of the time. " In the house" bonding at night is important putting the crate next to the bed will help. Some forks sleep with there dog in the bed. If this is not somethig you want to do then at least put the pup where they can...

Re: Anyone know of any GSP puppies on the ground

I cought wind of a likely breeding happening in Mass, should have pups ready late summer early fall. What are you looking for in a dog? HT? FT? NAVHDA? Weekend hunter? Jim might try some field trialing but the dog will mostly be just plain hunting (I hunt somewhere around 3 to 4 days a week usually...

Re: Setter vs Brittany?

Purely joking, but isn't a britt a setter with a docked tail who can't run like a setter?   Purely a observation. When have Britts become considerably larger than male GSP and Pointers? The picture of the final 4 at AKC Nationals looks odd. Now that's a Big Britteny, something tells...

Re: Needs Recomendations of a GSP

Its not that want to dog to stay next to me its the way the fields are set up. Most of the fields i hunt are roughly the length of a foot ball field long most shorter and maybe half a football field wide. and there are hedgerows between each field. So a dog that's gonna want to work 500+ yard away is...
