I would question how reputable your new breeder is. More for a female??? It happens, but it total bs. Like lab litters who charge more for the yellows??? Same freaking litter, they are doing it for the cash, period. And just word of caution, training a dog and impatience are not a good mix.......

When I bought my stter and was doing research, I did call them, and checked out their web site. For me, and me only, it seemed they breed show dogs and setters for photo shoots in Cabelas ads. When I called, I would have been #24ish on a waiting list to get a pup, and they were from 1600.00 to 2000....

We went for the first time to miller sd, hunted all public land and shot our limits most days. The best advice i can give you for sd is hunt small pieces of public land north of miller. Most guys wont go hunt them because they are to small so you wont see many hunters and the birds are not so jumpy...
