I like skinny dogs don't have much use for a fat dog, look at a marathon runners rib cage sometime when he is training hard, your dog will eat what he needs if your running him that much

Mudpuppy, The dogs look great, after reading the story of the rescue I think I should be asking you for advise on how to care for a dog, you and the dogs are gonna have a wonderful time together I can see that.

Re: Releasing Quail
We release a lot of birds and it has been already said here quail won't make it, you would have to make the food and water (un frozen) supply so that they fell into it, they are dumb, even the best conditioned birds get weak in less than a week, if you find one after that the breast will be thin as ...

If you register them you should genetically test any who will not be spayed or nuetered to be sure sure that they are out of those two dogs since you probably didn't witness the breeding.
This should not be a problem since we have to DNA every dog we breed

When a dog swims out of the water with a quail he has longer to marinate in the dogs mouth, maybe the urge over came him, LOL what I have noticed is when a bird is shot hard exposing meat sometimes he is a little more tempted to keep him for himself

IMO, if the dog doesn't point, it doesn't point....I don't think many here have ever trained a dog to point. That's bred into the dog. It's getting the dog to hold point that's trainable. My guess is the pup will figure it out eventually. Right now it's just having too much fun chasing birds. Has t...
