Sorry for not including that, I like in a town in northern California called McCloud. It's right next door to the beautiful Mount Shasta.
I want to go ahead and give Denise a thank you ten times over. There are some really incredible people out there. It is really inspiring.

Can I borrow someones starter gun?
Hey guys, I know this is a shameless post, but I have been working hard with my pup and about to start gun intro. Times have been real tight and I have absolutely no funds to work with right now. I was wondering if someone could lend me a starter pistol to get the pup started. Here's to being hopefu...

I was a member of a board that had a very strict no talking about bad deals policy. They didn't want to deal with it. Then I had a couple hundred dollars stolen from me and risked being banned if I tried to use the forums for help. If this board is like that remind me to stay far away from the class...

I used to buy scratch off and always lose. :( And thanks! We're just having fun. One thing I was worried about her was getting her used to the shotgun. She's been a very shy soft pup. I still think I have to be careful but I am not as worried. I am going to start introducing a cap gun with the bird ...

I just recently started working my pups on birds with consistency. I got my hands on a launcher, with two more on the way, then I built a coop and managed to get 25 pigeons that all home like they've lived here there whole life (still don't really know how that worked out). I started working my pup ...

Thanks for that link. I'm in the same boat, just getting my hands on a couple launchers (one at a time...$$$= ) and I have a loft of pigeons so I am really hoping to kick things up a notch. Any good information helps.

I'm shocked. Most of the 25 pigeons I got have flown back to the coop after they have been launched. They've never used the trap door before and figured it out eventually. They are just a bunch of barn pigeons from a guy an hour south of me and have only been here about 2 weeks. Its'a-ok by me thoug...

Building my second structure! Should have it done and the pigeons moved in tomorrow. I'm going to be using 5 gallon buckets as nesting boxes and I am going to build an aviary on the side for feeding with a landing board and a one one door. Either is good. I feed the Diamond HE and the dogs do well on it but I have fed Sportsmix and it is a good feed also. Remember the best feed you can buy is one that is readily available, one you can afford, and one your dog likes and does well on. And then when you find it stick with it and stop lo...

I don't like the show, looks to me like a couple predators picking on our elderly - who's kids abandoned them and their familys history, story and lifestyle is about to go away forever. they offer them a pittance, then clean up the item and use their show to sell it more than they'd ever be able to...

A bb gun has been the reccomended Barking cure for kennel barkers in a couple older training books I've read. There are modern solutions now, but the concept hasn't changed much. I have a good hunch way more dogs have been screwed up with E collars then with BB guns. Just because it's not what you d...

Cool that you got it done! If you're looking at a permanent structure then I'd suggest ditching the chicken wire. It is not predator proof at all. A coon can go through it very easily. If you don't have much in the way of predators - then it looks great! thanks! Not much in my life is too permanent...

what's the general rules about having a pen in an area the dog can see. There's a fence in between but it is still a couple feet away. Will she get too used to birds being around to want to hunt them when we are not at home? Meanwhile I have never seen her so fired up about anything in her lil life.

Saw that, but I personally like the garmin more. I already have a tt set up so don't need an e collar. The lack of anything more then the most absolute bare bones in dog tracking is a real turn off for me. I am glad to see someone else giving it a go though.
