IMO, there are too many to pick that are really good. Besides, everyone is going to pick according to their breed preferences. So, I like them all. I especially like puppy Avavtars as they are so darn cute!

We have pheasant, quail, chuckars and grouse out by me and I'd say quail are by far the best hunting. They offer a challenge to hunt because of their size and mobility. It's personal preference really. A pup can learn its name by the age of 4 weeks and how to sit and stay by 6 weeks. So there are advantages in getting it at a younger age. Although we don't teach hunting dogs to sit.

what i found is most important with not only bird dogs but all pups is socializing...as far as on birds i wouldnt make it a priority just yet..with instinct and genetics theres no need to rush it..take a few weeks and expose your pup to many many people and sounds as you can..take it for car rides ...
