Re: Arizona quail
While I like Senior Linden's show I despise the hotspottiing mentality. Ezzy you r wrong in my case. I do not hunt to socialize. I hunt to enjoy nature & hopefully watch my self trained hounds (hooligans) wrangle in wild birds. One thing that can lessen the experience for me personally is to have so...

Thanks gents. I received some excellent advice via PM to which I'm going to follow. Not a FF method but more fitting for where I believe my young GSP is at. I wanna type here that the man nailed it & probably due to the initial post could sense the right way to go. These forums are worth their weigh...

Force Fetch
Looking for ideas and methods to follow for force fetching me youngster GSP. I've never done this sort of training before as I've always been lucky in getting natural retrieving pups. Not that this pup needs much help, he retrieve's to hand with a little coaxing but he is a bit of a hard mouth so I ...

Bird dog fellers?
Bare or bear with me here but do u find some bird dog fellers have serious competitive issues, to the point of teetering on the obvious side of serious pathological psychosis. If so, why do u think this is other than inferiority complex? Personally, I find exaggerations and half truths to be the sam...

Re: about the Are bird hunters afraid of field trial dogs?
I hunt with a feller who has Llew's who are big runners. We hunt primarily Chuks together. His dogs find a lot of birds, he kills a lot of birds. I have traditional GSP bootlickers 100-300 yds max. We kill equal amount of birds. At the end of the day my boys are in their crates while we're waiting f...

Ben, before rushing off to the vet, especially after hours and spending $100's, if not $1,000's of dollars, hold up a day or two.
