My first Britt as an adult was an only pup. He was an awesome dog. I have a kennel full of dogs from the Flying O, easy to train and bird finding machines. Ed has been around a long time and has forgotten more about Brittanies than most will ever learn. BTW, Black is only not acceptable in show, who gives a chit? AKC papers have Black as an option in registering.

I once owned one. bought it for a rescue dog that refused to go in it. He also shredded the cheap foil insulation. I'd say your best bet would be an electric heater of some kind in one of the empty holes and a nice little Honda Generator. And I'm not sure how "little" of a generator you can use that will still run a heater. But spend the extra for the quiet Honda. Plus they last forever.

I hauled two of those jugs on the back shelf of my old dog trailer for years. They are pretty durable. Carry a slingshot. They will get to where they wont just hang out and watch you. I have a family of Red Foxes here at my house / neighborhood, they drive the dogs crazy at night running up and down the street and in between properties.
