I own several Benellis and appreciate their reliability. The weight concern was more to do with the 4.9lbs and shooting mechanics of the sport. Recoil doesnt bother me...

Well i suck! I let my dog down. She was a little scatterbrained at first, then she settled in and gave me 7 solid points. I missed 5 out of 7. As others have said, if the dog continues to be break now he will do it for the rest of his life. I always bring a stake and tie my first year dogs for the entire season. Its good training aid and safer for the dog.

Most dogs reach their height by the time they are 12 months old. After that they will "fill out" and gain two to three pounds. If your GSP is 55lbs now at 12 months, he will probably be 57lbs with good exercise and nutrition by the time he is 24 months old.

The can food is to motivate the eating. They have at least 12 hours to digest it. They still loose weight but not as much.......

For quail, Huns, sharpies The 28ga baby frame Beretta O/U works for me with 28" barrels. Very nice to carry! Waterfowl or nasty days the Beretta or SBE semi with 26" come to bat. Pheasants or Clays it's the Beretta O/U with 32" pipes.. Choices are good thing in my book... And yes the longer the barr...
