I've seen both styles be successful, I would see if you could hunt behind both styles, flushers and pointers, even if it means you hire a guide to see both styles. I'm not a guide but I would be happy to show you my pointers.

I just saw your other post about the new horse, is that the same trailer you want to change? If so a lot of trailer companies put the holes in the floor and ceiling so that you can move the saddle rack to the mid tack or the back, might be worth looking under the mats in the back to see.

I don't having any experience putting a saddle stand in a stock trailer but I would definitely want it to have a divider from the horses. What was wrong with the mid tack?

I would agree with a lot of the comments that have been posted here, but the thing I see being the biggest issue is the loss of hunting ground. Local farm kids are usually willing to go and catch them for a couple bucks a bird. I have an amish connection that I pay 2 bucks a bird for and they go crawl around in the hay mows for me. 1 night they had a hundred in 45 minutes! Crazy to watch them climb all over in the dark!

first spot of opener is already picked out and I can't wait to hit it right away in the morning. Don't get a whole lot of time to hunt till after thanksgiving but I'll take every minute I can close to home.

Went scouting the last two weekends and have been finding a few birds, can't wait for the opener to really bust the brush.
