Re: New Puppy Advice
Clicker training is for house dogs not working dogs. It is nothing I would put any faith in, if a house dog don't obey a command it is not a big thing most are in a yard or on leash if a working dog don't obey a command it could be a matter of life or death. A good friend of mine lost two FC beagles...

Reading a DOG
This is a little more involved than most of us want to admit. You may be able to read one dog fairly well in 6 to 8 weeks. But to read any dog with accurately you will need to see several dogs a year, and if you really want to read a dog do some decoy work for a schutzhund club and see how well you c...

I run NSTRA trails and you are right if you go just to watch it is like watching paint dry but once you start running it is a lot of fun. The way Brad described is the way I do it works with little effort. I would also add that I don't let the dog retreive every bird only about every 5 or 6 bird one time than every 3 bird the next keep them guessing

Re: Table Vs. Barrel Vs. Blocks
Why does the dog stand still on the barrel the first time you put it on it? Or maybe the second time? Because the dog is under pressure he is on unstable ground once he falls off he is getting pressure from the collar. When you put a dog on over load he freezes 80% of the time another reason he is ...
