Re: Ohio pheasant releases
not sure about Rush Run but Ceasers is packed out for the first week. Opening days i wouldnt recommend even going out there. I went last year and will never do it again. To say it was a dove hunt for pheasants is dead on to what it is. Its a shame they release the way they do. After the 2nd weekend ...

Re: Jeep Wranglers and Hunting?????
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m155/lower11/notajeep.jpg I have a 2010 that i use for 2 GSP's. I had a yj before this but it was to much work with two dogs, just not enough space for everything. I love everything about this ride except the engine. Of course the doors and top come on for hunting...

Re: Runt
Ive got a GSP female that is almost 2 years old weighing in at 32lbs. Her drive in the field is excellent. Only issue i have ever ran into with her size was her first year hunting we were out in a very thick field and her beeper was going off in point mode. I finally found her and realized she wasnt...

Re: Beer?
Love Yuengling, that's my everyday beer - the stuff I drink regularly, that I buy by the 12 pack or case. Yuengling opened a brewery in Tampa about 10 years ago, so we've been enjoying it down here for a while. I hear the delay on selling it in Ohio was that Yuengling wanted to build another brewer...

Re: looking for shotgun
I have a 12 ga cz o/u that i love. Took the wife trap shooting and she loved it but wasnt a fan of the kick. So i was on a shopping kick for a 20ga. Picked up a 20ga beretta 391 in perfect used condition for $600. I must say this gun turned into my everyday gun quickly. Its very light and shoots ama...

It's funny, but last night while sitting on the couch I was pondering the same thing about my English Pointer... She's 35 lbs and I really like the size. She was a true runt tho'.. much smaller than the others in her litter right off the bat... She's all heart tho... (hope you guys don't mind an EP...

I know a lot of you are die hards and have been around the hunting scene for quite some time. My question to you guys is whats the smallest GSP you have seen (adult). My girl is the s...

Re: pheasant hunting on public land in Ohio
I hunted Deleware on opening day. Lots of people and not many birds. We talked to the warden who told us most of the land was under water during the nesting and bird numbers are very low. We ended up hunting creek lines for woodies and had lots of points.

Re: When hunting pheasant...
I hunt with a buddy who uses a bell. Not sure where he got this bell but its the loudest bell i have ever heard. Very annoying and cant hear anything but it. I use a beeper with point only mode unless she is in a thick area and put it to locate mode. I think its personal preference but the bell anno...

Re: Problems at the dog park
we take our dogs to the dog park by us weekly. The thought of any of this is disturbing. I usually do dump the water out of the pool and also the bowls and refill but never did it because of the thought of people poisoning it. Just like helping out and keeping things clean.

Re: Finally introduced the E Collar!
I started my girl on Ecollar at around the same age. I put it on a very low setting and was amazed how she responded to it. She went from 50% recall to 99% all in about 25 mins.
