Hope they do something, I trap and support trapping but would like to see them make those traps be water sets only, lost my five month German short hair this year walking a county ditch on our own land, ditch ran along a county road so it was a legal set nothing I could do, bad deal for sure

The dog is a German shorthair, the Sizure was from what I know a major one, it wasn't hot about 50 and she has been ran way harder in way hotter days, took her out for some training yesterday just like nothing ever happened

I had a question about the feet problems I road my dogs on gravel with no boots about three times a week for 1/2 hour and I have been having problems with chucks coming off the pads, then they get very sore and have tried boot but the the tops of feet get raw how do I prevent these problems?

I tried using a bike but if any birds or squirls are around things get hairy in a hurry! I use a Polaris ranger with a bar hooked to front bumper seems to work well

It sure works good for me if I can keep the hawks away birds are all locked down for winter, but will be ready to race and train the dog this spring, I also like the trap style door rather than a bob style birds seem to go through it better are you going to have homers or barn birds?

I have a 4X4 X4 with a 2x2 aviry I buy pigeons from a guy who seems to know it all its his job he said I can have 13 to 14 birds I have 12 now they are doing great here is a pic

took the dog out again today with a pigeon in launcher just let her go again she found it pointed when we were about 80 yards from her I didnt say a work just walked up to her she stood right there and I stood there to I didnt release the bird till I saw her ear twitch I was a happy camper not sayin...

Well just got back from giving the dog a bird today I let her just run and hunt but had to keep her in our area but for the most part just let her do her thing, the wind was wrong for us today so when she hit the scent she was almost on top of it she her tail wagged for a sec then she locked herself...

thanks for the advise! So what I need to do is let the dog do her thing when I plant the bird in the launcher and say nothing but when the dog moves trip it and release the bird, and just do whoa traing in the yard?

yes I have a dogtra remote launcher I have been giving the dog a few birds a week and trying to pop it as soon as the dog moves should I have her on a leash? and do not try and whoa her just dont say a word?

I have a 8month old GSP great dog with awesome drive my question is how can I let her rang if she wont hold point quite long enough for me to get there to flush the bird, we have been working on whoa training and any other time if I say whoa she stops and does good but the bird has to much pull yet ...
