we had a finicky rescue dog a while ago, we started boiling dark chicken meat and putting that in the the kibble and some water. that has worked for us with every dog that is picky.

we pay 1200 for our pups (german longhair pointers) friends of our pay close to 2k for their CBR's. you can get a nice dog for 500 if pedigree isn't an issue.

My brothers GSP has a similar issue, he bumps birds all day if its cold and snowy. all we can figure is that his nose is cold. the dog is a smaller GSP and can't go very long in the cold.

Hey guys just a quick question, my dog is in very good shape and will hunt until i make him quit. my question is does anyone here use any sort of recovery supplement for your pup? or just go all natural. also does anyone give supplements during the hunt to help a dog keep hunting hard?

My longhair pointer will point, flush , and retrieve rabbits. The pointers will do what you want the training is just different.
My brother hunts rabbits with his GWP and he says he won't ever go back to a spaniel.

we got out on a preserve this weekend and had a really nice productive day, shot all the birds we had planted and had a few jack rabbits!

You should be a little more specific with your question, I'm guessing you mean an e collar by the nature of your question. if you are thing of getting one i like dogtra a lot, i also like tri tronics also. you should get yourself a good e collar training video, and take your time and be patient.

Well i was looking into the evan g series, because for breeding the longhairs you have to do some extensive testing to be approved to breed your dog, a major portion of it is blind retrieves and a lot of retrieving work. the UP here in Michigan has great hunting, also the main mitten has some decent public land spots that hold birds. a lot of the farmers around my area have no problem with me going out on there property, and we have a ton of great preserves in this area.

Remington 1100, I have been shooting my grandpas for my entire life, its a 1970s gun and it shoots just as straight as my mossberg does. The trigger safety isn't that big of a deal IMO. also you can find real nice used ones for well under a 1000 dollars. just my two cents.
