Thanks ezzy. New to this and not for sure how many hens or cocks I have. I would guess most over 6 months old. Got bowls and some straw in the coop for them.

Got a coop built. Could not find yb's. I bought ten from a guy that tried to give me some young ones. 3 look older to me. My ? Is how long before they start pairing up? Had them for about 3 wks.

Donnie steady to me would be til flush, shot or fall. She will hold til I go to flush. Flushing the bird her self.

Thanks for the replies. She is a good dog still acts a lot younger. I did not worry about anything but obedience and bagging birds. Going to try run her in nstra this fall if I can get her steady.

Just looking for opinions on what you guys would do. She has had a lot of birds shot over her pen raised and wild. Trainer (me) did not know what he was doing . Launchers and pigeons is what I was thinking.

Read alot on here about letting your pup be a pup for a year. At what age would you send pup to trainer?Thinking about sending mine in oct he will be 9 months. Love this site lots of great info.
