Re: A Winter Wonderland-Part Duece

Nice cool morning for a hike! So had to give it a go. Little gal ran off towards a saddle, we were searching for a buddies dog for about 10 minutes then I went looking for her. And heard the always lovely "Beep" of the Garmin. She was a ways off so I headed over there. Found her standin. http://i25...

In AZ you don't see them during the heat of the day, late afternoon mostly around roosting time. Just hunt and don't worry. The south is full of vipers.....worry! :D

Tucson is about a half a million people, with another 5.5 million 90 miles NW in Phoenix. Gambel's quail populations are probably at the lowest in history, but there is so much public land that is huntable, if you are willing to drive and hike a few miles you can generally find pockets of birds her...

Re: Muddy Creek Kennels

I got a pup from Craig over the summer, and so far (6 months old) I'm really happy with him. I will say that I have no desire to get into field trialing, and don't have a ton of experience with pointing dogs, but I have been impressed so far. Craig is a great guy, as is the rest of his family. Than...

It was funny....back in the good ole days we hunted dogs hard. These dogs were fed food far inferior to today's premium foods.
