Loading in truck
I had a hard time with one dog, but made some sturdy boxes. I had her up in the truck and taught her "down" using the boxes, then "load up" going up the boxes. If memory serves me I had three boxes. Got rid of the tallest, and then the middle one. Then when I took away the box closet to the ground s...

Come command - in the field vs. at home
Never give a command you can't enforce.... That is a HUGE one. If the pup is playing in the yard and you don't have a CC or e collar on, just turn and walk in the other direction, maybe call his name if that's that your going to use to turn him. Just walk on, and the pup will soon learn to look at y...

The PVC was setup with chicken nipples... and at a low height to water quail when we first built it. I left it in there, and the pigeons like to roost on it.

I train my dog, and a buddy uses the pigeons quite a little. During the winter, it gets too cold for them to reproduce, but during the spring/summer they were sitting on eggs all the time. I have one female that had 4-5 hatches last year! I list squeekers on Craig's list every now and then. In the w...

I have a 4x4 coop that was ment to be a Johnny house. I can keep 12-15 Pigeons in there. Works pretty good. This is a picture right after it was made. The only I have done is change the front to allow the pigeons to trap in and added boxes for roosting. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1388011541.900600.jpg

Re: Photos of your bird housing.
These are some pictures of a Johnny house a friend and I are building. In these pictures it is not quite done. http://s1022.photobucket.com/albums/af342/toster01/Johnny%20House/ We have since got the roof on, and made the feeder and put in the watering system. I will try to get some photos uploaded ...

Re: blank guns
Hello all, pretty new here, but I have been looking for a good blank gun. After reading this and some other research, I am pretty sold on the Gunx blank gun. http://www.gunxusa.com/ one concern I had was making TOO much noise with the 209 primers, with young pups. I really like the idea of using the...
